I've been looking at getting a Papillon puppy, the pups I see at shelters I honestly can't tell if they're Papillons or not and half the time shelters can't either. And then some of the pups I see at breeders I'm not even sure because they look more like something else than Papillons. Can someone give me input please? http://skyviewkennel.net/papillon.htm http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/17257183 I live south of Wichita, KS and I cannot justify spending more than $500 for a dog, so, unfortunately there are only two breeders in my area I've been able to find, one in Oklahoma and the other up by Manhattan KS (sky view). But Sky View doesn't have any pictures of the parents on their website and a lot of the puppies have droopy ears, most pap pups I see have the big erect ears even when puppies, I know when they teeth if they have a calcium deficiency their ears will droop. And my fiance even looked at them and said they couldn't be pure Papillons. So how do I tell if a Papillon is a true Papillon just by seeing the puppy? People can very well lie and show me two beautiful parents and them not be the true parents, and I don't see why they couldn't lie on a Pedigree also.... Read More »
